Kori Construction – Banstead Place

We’re excited to be working with Kori Construction on our first job together at Banstead Place in Surrey. This retirement village development is for Birchgrove, a leader in later-living communities.
Taking Over the Scaffold Works
Kori brought us in at the start of January 2025. The site had scaffolding from a previous contractor, which we dismantled. Our team then erected new scaffolding to support the project.
This job is a great example of our retirement village scaffolding services. The site includes both new-build homes and the restoration of a Grade II listed Georgian Manor House, requiring careful planning and versatile scaffold solutions.
About the Banstead Place Development
The finished project will include:
-
54 self-contained retirement apartments
-
11 apartments in the restored Manor House
-
43 new-build homes in the style of traditional alms houses
-
Landscaped gardens, an orchard, and an arboretum
The Manor House will feature communal areas like a restaurant, orangery, drawing room, licensed bar, and wellness suite. Everything is designed for independent living with barrier-free layouts.
Our Role
We supplied and installed scaffolding across the site. This included work on both listed structures and new buildings. Our retirement village scaffolding solutions ensured safety, flexibility, and protection of the building’s heritage.
We’re proud to support Kori Construction in meeting tight timelines while maintaining high standards on a complex site.
A Project with Purpose
This build is more than bricks and mortar. Kori’s social value action plan aims to deliver over £4 million in benefits to the local community. This includes local jobs, apprenticeships, and work for regional suppliers.
We’re proud to be part of a project that values heritage, people, and community impact.
Banstead Place is set to become Birchgrove’s flagship development. We’re honoured to play a role in making it happen.
